در این بخش لیست کارت شبکه های مناسب برای تست نفوذ شبکه های بی سیم رو قرار می دهیم
بهترین چیپست ها:
- Realtek RTL8187L (RTL8187 = RTL8187L) – very good Linux support, great injection rate, easy to change MAC address, slow data rate only 54Mbit max (the actual data rate is approx. 22Mbit),
- Atheros AR9271 – very good Linux support, good injection rate, only the latest kernel allows changing the MAC address (this will change on Backtrack.pl PREMIUM), very good data rate up to 150Mbit (the actual data rate is approx. 64Mbit), extremely high gain!
- Atheros AR9285 – almost the same as AR9271,
- RaLink RT2571 – very good Linux support, great injection rate, easy to change MAC, slow data rate 54Mbit, low gain,
- RaLink any RT27XX RT28XX RT30XX – very good Linux support, good injection rate, easy to change MAC, good data rate (some models like RT2770 support 300Mbit), high gain.
چیپست های خوب:
- any Atheros chip – almost any Atheros chipset is a good choice,
- any RaLink chip – RaLink support for Linux is also a good pick (but there are a few implementations that are, frankyl speaking, lacking),
- Prism (like PrismGT Prism54) – they work, very dependable for soft-AP or daily use,
- Atmel – very good chipset, but I don’t know of any new Atmel chip with support for G/54Mbit or the N standard,
- Hermes/Orinoco/Proxim – a few very old cards have feature this chipset, they are the best cards for B/11Mbit but the do not work with the latest Linux kernel.
چیپست های ساپرت نشده و یا کم کیفیت:
- anything other than RTL8187L (e.g. RTL8188 RTL8192) – some of them work under Linux, but they are extremely buggy. Sometimes monitor mode does not work at all or the card only connects to APs with a very strong signal,
- any Intel chipset – some models work well under Windows, but Linux support is lacking,
- Broadcom – some models work, some even have monitor mode working, but generally support is poor,
- any others not listed.

- Techniclan WUSB-54G (RTL8187L) – cheap, high gain, works great, low data rate 54Mbit,
- TP-Link WN422G WN722N (AR9271) – cheap, very high gain, works great, good data rate 150Mbit,
- Ubiquity Wifi Station EXT (AR9271) – cheap, high power, extreme gain, good data rate 150Mbit, weather-proof, long USB cable (3m), regulatory domain set to US,
- ALFA AWUS036NHA (AR9271) – high power, high gain, works great, good data rate 150Mbit,
- ALFA AWUS036H v2.0 (RTL8187L) – requires more power than your average wireless card, high gain, slow data rate 54Mbit, unstable.

- Techniclan WUSB-150HN (RT3070) – cheap, high power, high gain, 150Mbit,
- CC&C WL2203 (ZyDAS ZD1211) – very high gain, slow data rate 54Mbit,
- Ubiquity WifiStation without EXT (AR9271) – high gain, good data rate 150Mbit, integrated low gain directional antena,
- ALFA AWUS050NH (RT2770) – poor 5GHz reception, good gain, good power, 300Mbit,
- ALFA AWUS051NH (RT2770) – 5GHz, good gain, good power, 300Mbit,
- ALFA AWUS036NH (RT3070) – good gain, too high power, 150Mbit,
- Airlive X.USB (-3 with dipol antenas) – good gain, low power 100mW, restricted 5GHz (passive scanning),
- TP-Link WN321 – no RP-SMA,
- TP-Link WN822 – very poor integrated antennas,
- Tonze UW-6200RS – high gain, slow data rate 54Mbit,
- Tonze UW-6200RX – too powerfull, high gain, slow data rate 54Mbit,
- TP-Link WN7200ND – good gain, good data rate 150Mbit,
- WL-1700USB (RTL8187L) – high power, high gain, slow data rate 54Mbit.
کارت وایرلس های نا مناسب:
- ALFA AWUS036NHR – new realtek chipset, a noticeable lack of proper Linux support,
- any card that features either of these two chipsets: RTL8188 RTL8192
